Meet Vickie… Vickie is a member of Oakmont Community church and she is a great servant of the Lord. Vickie spent some time over the holidays delivering gift baskets to people in the community who need a little extra love. No, this service ministry was not part of the church. It was part of the Oakmont Volunteers who serve Oakmont Village.

Did you know that when you serve people, you are serving Jesus, whether or not the church is involved. How are you serving Jesus in your community?

 Just before Christmas, the OCC sponsored a Christmas Sing-along for the residents at the Gardens. Everyone had a wonderful time singing, eating refreshments and visiting with one another. Our piano player, Shirley (see below) blessed us by leading the singing while playing her ukulele, while her cousin, Margaret played the piano. Shirley is a member of the local Methodist church, and she volunteers her services to help us out during our Sunday Worship at the Gardens.
